Volunteers

Volunteers are the lifeblood of most clubs and we are no exception. We have a dedicated band of helpers who happily give up their valuable time to do a host of jobs to ensure our club continues to develop and provide members with the types of services that add value to their membership.

What constitutes being a good member?

Volunteers are the lifeblood of most clubs and we are no exception. We have a dedicated band of helpers who happily give up their valuable time to do a host of jobs to ensure our club continues to develop and provide members with the types of services that add value to their membership. The difference between a good golf club and a great golf club is not how good the fairways and greens are, or how well the clubhouse is appointed, but having members who are passionate about their club. This is why we have a great golf club, and with input from members it will continue to be a great golf club.

A simple questionnaire to see if you really contribute to your club!

  • Play a round of golf
  • Support the Club Professional
  • Socialise at the bar after a round
  • Attend & support Club presentations
  • Attend & support Club social functions
  • Volunteer for the Nedlands Junior Masters
  • Volunteer for busy bees
  • Support the Club Pennant Teams
  • Assist on a Club Committee

If you can tick just 3-4 points, we would encourage you to consider giving some of your valuable time (even if it’s for 1 hour) to supporting more of the activities on the list.

Remember the old adage “it’s better to give than receive”. We are always looking for new ideas and volunteers.

It’s easy to become active, just keep your ear to the ground, know what’s happening, and know what’s coming up. The more you put in, the more you’ll get back, and ensure the growth of fellowship and good golfing within your club.
