Effective immediately members are requested to cease taking any golf buggies across our greens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The major reason the Greens Committee has taken this decision is that with the current heat conditions we are experiencing, our grounds team have noticed burn damage on some greens caused by buggy wheels. In addition, we also wish to reduce the possibility of transferring foreign grasses such as Poa onto our bent grass surfaces.<\/p>\n

Although we are aware that several courses allow buggies to be wheeled across greens, we are of the view this is not appropriate for our course and our bent grass green surfaces.<\/p>\n

We would also remind those members using electric carts to keep these away as much as possible from areas surrounding the greens. Electric carts should not be within 5 metres of any green and should avoid high wear areas between bunkers and greens and around and behind greens.<\/p>\n
