A Memorable Autumn Day

On a glorious autumn afternoon, Nedlands hosted the Golf WA Crunch & Sip Junior tournament on Sunday 13th April. The event saw 72 enthusiastic young players, ranging in age from 6 to 12 years and from various metropolitan clubs, show their budding talent across various formats of junior modified golf.

Nedlands was proudly represented by its junior members, Rowan Morris, Harley Maul, and Albert Chai who acquitted themselves well.

At presentation, Jordan McSkimming, Development Officer for Golf WA, thanked the club for their support and expressed his appreciation for supplying course tee marshalls, Noah Keren and Arjun Rodrigues, who are Nedlands Junior Pennant players, in ensuring that players got off on time, which was more than most 18-hole golf courses provide.

As we look forward to 2025, it is clear that the future of junior golf at Nedlands is bright. The Junior program aims to build on the success of this tournament by offering more opportunities for young golfers to learn, compete, and grow. The program will focus on skill development, sportsmanship, and the joy of playing golf, ensuring that each participant feels valued and supported.
