GREENS REPLACEMENT INFORMATION

The following information is provided in preparation for Phase 2 of the Greens Replacement Programme.

From Tuesday, September 30, several of our greens will be out of action while they are being refurbished.

You will have noticed several temporary greens being prepared over the last few weeks. Those greens will come into operation on SATURDAY OCTOBER 4.

NOTES

1. The Men’s temporary course ratings will be –

PAR 72                               RATING 67                       SLOPE 123

The Men’s Course will have: 14 x Par 4’s,2 x Par 5’s, 2 x PAR 3’s

2. The Women’s temporary course ratings will be –

PAR 73                               RATING 70                       SLOPE 123

The Women’s Course will have: 13 x Par 4’s, 3 x Par 5’s, 2 x PAR 3's

3. New scorecards (refer below) will indicate this information together with new Stroke Indexes. Copies will be displayed on Club Noticeboards.

4. The current par 3 holes will not be used in the temporary configuration.

The first half of the current 4th / 13th. The hole will be played from the current 4th / 13th tees to a temporary green at the top of the hill near the fairway bunkers.

A shortened version of the current 8th/17th hole, with a temporary green about 40 metres in front of the current green.

The Women’s Tees will be brought back to the Middle Tee.

The first half of the current 9th / 18th.                         FOR MEN the hole will be played from the current 9th / 18th tees to a temporary green near the fairway bunker.

FOR WOMEN The 8th will be played from the Current 9th tee and the 18th will be played from the tee in front of that.

NOTE The Current Women’s18th tee will not be used

The second half of the current 9th / 18th.

The hole will be played from temporary tees on either side of the fairway and approximately 20-30 metres in front of the 8th/17th Temporary Green to the current 9th/ 18th green.

 

 

6. TEMPORARY TEE SIGNS AND DIRECTIONAL SIGNS are currently being prepared and will be installed before Saturday.

7. A NEW COURSE MAP will indicate the configuration mentioned above and will be posted on the Website and on Club Noticeboards.

8. LOCAL RULES

The course works will require the introduction of TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES and these will be posted on The Website and Club Noticeboards. Please make yourself aware of these before you play as they may change from time to time. 

9. HANDICAPPING – As Temporary Course Ratings have been established these will have a significant effect on Daily Handicaps. 

Daily Handicap Look up Charts will be displayed on Club Noticeboards

This course map shows the positions of the temporary greens, and in some places the temporary tees. 

The blue lines indicate the holes taken out of the course entirely being the two par 3's. 

The yellow lines indicate the required pathway from the 2nd & 6th greens to the next tees. Please follow all instructions to maintain safety from construction and the line of play.
