Appointment of New Course Superintendent

I’m pleased to announce the appointment of our new Course Superintendent, Tony McFadyean.

Tony makes his way from Royal Perth Golf Club, having worked as their Assistant Superintendent for the past eight years after commencing as an apprentice in 2006. Prior to that Tony was a professional golfer, playing in tournaments across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

He brings with him a passion for green keeping and is excited to accept the new challenge and responsibility of leading our team in the maintenance and presentation of our course.

Although Tony’s starting date is still to be confirmed, I hope the club will join me in welcoming him when he arrives.

It is with a touch of sadness that I inform you, Aaron Petrovski (our Course Superintendent)  has handed in his resignation to take up a senior role in the northern suburbs overseeing two 18 hole courses.

This is a great opportunity for Aaron, who has been an outstanding servant of the club for the past eight years. Sadly it was only a matter of time until someone identified the gem we had in the greenkeepers shed and made him an offer too good to refuse.

I am sure all members will join me in wishing Aaron the best for all his future endeavours.

We have commenced our nationwide search for his replacement and I will keep you updated as things develop.
