Father & Son Trophy
Life Member John Duncan has been a long term and generous trophy donor for the Father and Son 4BBB event at Nedlands.
The silver cup was originally awarded to John’s maternal great grandfather, when a teenager, for a prize “chook” at an agricultural show in Birmingham England in the mid 1800’s and was passed to John on the death of his great grandfather in the 1930’s.
It gathered dust in a cupboard until John thought that it might find an appropriate place at NGC and it entered the Club’s records, with a starting date of 1972, the year in which John joined the Club.
There have been many notable winners including the Sheridan, Parker, Palmer, Fairweather, Falconer, and Morris combinations.
