Members are reminded to report all instances of errant golf balls that may have left the golf course, whether you believe it has caused third party damage or not. It is very important that the Club records these for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, this enables the Club to monitor our safety obligations and secondly, it allows the Club to claim any third party damage under the appropriate insurance policy, which has a nil excess. If we cannot identify the member who hit the errant ball that results in a claim being lodged, a claim must be made under a different policy which has a $500 excess payable by the Club, for every claim.
Putting your name forward will not result in any personal claim being made against you, but it will save the Club money!
