Foursomes Clean Sweep
The NGC Foursomes Championship and RL Newman Tray, sponsored by Mike Duffy & Alex Meneghello, was played on Saturday with Steve Noske and Gary Hing successful in both events with scores of nett 72.5 and gross 80.
Gary and Steve also paired up last month for the Tasmanian Tray Canadian Foursomes in which the final with Andrew Frazer and Stuart Waters was left all square on the 18th due to failing light. The 19th hole was played over the weekend with a birdie to the Hing/Noske pair sealing a clean sweep of foursomes silverware.
The culmination of a week where over 65mm of rain fell on the course saw the eventual cancellation of the Club Foursomes Championships. The Gross (RL Newman Tray) and Nett (sponsored by Mike Duffy & Alex Meneghello) events will be rescheduled to a date to be announced.
