ADVICE TO MEMBERS FOR COMPETITIONS

EFFECTIVE SATURDAY MAY 2, 2020

This advice is in accordance with Guidelines from The R and A, Golf Australia and Golf WA and is to be read in conjunction with the club advice sent to members on Wednesday April 29 and included on the Club Website.

  1. COMPETITION FEES

Competition Fees will remain at $8.00 and can only be paid using a Member’s House Account.

  1. HANDICAPPING

It is important to note that Handicapping in the normal way will take place for all official Club Competitions. Handicapping in Social Play will not be available.

  1. BALL IN BUNKER

When a player’s ball lies in a Bunker the player may take a Preferred Lie of ONE CARD LENGTH – the ball must be lifted and placed in the bunker within one card length of its original position – no nearer the hole.

Players are requested to repair the bunker as best they can by using a club or their feet.

  1. SCORE CARDS/ SCORING

4.1       Players are permitted to mark their own scorecard in all competition play allowing methods of scoring that do not strictly comply with Rule 3.3b. It is recommended that you do still record your ‘Markers’ score within the area of the scorecard where a player would normally put their own score.

The Player should sign their scorecard and must submit it in the Scorecard Box outside the Pro Shop. Club Staff will enter the scores in the Scoring System.

NOTE-; It is not necessary to have a marker physically certify the player’s hole scores, but some form of verbal certification should take place.

4.2       All Players registered in a Competition may use the MiScore App. For information see club staff.

  1. FLAG STICKS

Players are required to leave the flag stick in the hole at all times and avoid contact with the flag stick when removing the ball.

  1. HOLE CUPS

The Hole Liner will be at a shallow level and a ball at rest in the hole will be considered holed even if it is not entirely below the level of the hole.
