ADVICE TO MEMBERS FOR COMPETITIONS – UPDATE

EFFECTIVE SATURDAY JUNE 20, 2020

 Following the easing of COVID-19 Restrictions, the following will now apply to all players and is in keeping with advices received from GOLF AUSTRALIA and GOLF WA.

 NOTE – Golf will now be played as per the Rules of Golf and Local Rules as it was prior to the onset of COVID-19

  1. COMPETITION FEES

Competition Fees will remain at $8.00 and can be paid

1.1       Using a Member’s House Account – Preferred Option

1.2       Cash

1.3       Credit or Debit Card

  1. HANDICAPPING

Handicapping in the normal way will take place for all official Club Competitions. Handicapping in Social Play will not be available – apart from cards submitted by members wishing to obtain a handicap.

  1. BALL IN BUNKER

A ball coming to rest in a Bunker MUST be played as it lies or declared unplayable. (Rule 19.3)

No longer will there be Preferred Lies OR relief from the faces of bunkers.

Bunker Rakes will now be replaced on the course and all player MUST repair the bunkers before leaving them.

  1. SCORE CARDS/ SCORING

4.1       Players are NOT permitted to mark their own scorecard and must comply with Rule 3.3b.

IE A marker enters the scores on the player’s scorecard and at the end of the round checks the scores with the player and settles any doubtful points, signs the scorecard and returns it to the player. The player must also sign the scorecard.

The completed Scorecard must now be entered in one of the card readers in the Pro Shop and attested to as correct and placed in the return card box in the Pro Shop.

  1. FLAG STICK

Players may now Hold, Remove or Touch Flagsticks as provided in Rule 13.2.

  1. HOLES (CUPS)

The Holes will no longer be inverted with noodles and will revert to normal – Definition of Hole.
