THE 2020 SWOREX NGC ORDER OF MERIT

Sponsored By:  South Key Constructions – Dean Hannell; Wood Recruitment – Scott Van Heurck; Revo Fitness – George Gelavis; and Simon Smith

The playing of the second major of the season, the Winter Cup, has resulted in a change at the top of the Saturday SWOREX Cup leader board. After leading the competition for 3 weeks, Scott Van Heurck was unable to play in the Winter Cup and has had to stand by and watch his chasers enjoy the bonus points on offer.  Shane Maloney has backed up two strong Saturday results in the past four weeks with a fourth place in the Winter Cup to take the lead. Followed closely by Ben Cullinan and David Southam in second and third place, who have both been playing consistently good golf.

The good news is that we have now played 15 rounds – the maximum number of results to count – and so we will start to see players replacing poorer results with better results, leaving the competition well and truly open.

In the Wednesday competition, after 13 rounds – with 20 rounds to count – Eric Skipworth has extended his lead with a very good run of results.  Steven Noske sits 142 points back in second and 120 points clear of Chris Chung in third place.  Whilst our two leaders are building a commanding lead over the field, there is still a long way to go.
