After not playing in 2020 due to COVID, the 2021 Pennant season started on Sunday with mixed results for the two Nedlands Teams

DIVISION TWO

At Hartfield a solid 5-2 win against well fancied opponents, The Vines,  brought a smile to the faces of team captain Ben Cullinan and Manager Marty Morris.

All matches were close with 6 of the 7 matches going to at least the 17th hole. Four were decided at the 18th and Harry Traylen in fact went to the 20th. Refer scores below.

Next week the team travels to ROYAL PERTH to play HARTFIELD  commencing at 11.30am– so please support the team in their quest to get to Division One in 2022

Roving reporters’ comment – This team will win in 2021!

DIVISION FIVE

For the first time Nedlands entered a second team in the Pennant Competition – in Division 5.

Mosman Park was the venue for their first match and they were pitted against the home team, ultimately going down 2.5 to 4.5. Credit to the winners Dave Southam and Regan Cake and a fine comeback from David Rees in squaring his match. Refer scores below

Next week COTTESLOE is the venue for their Round 2 Match against THE VINES commencing at 7.30am.

Roving reporter’s comment – Too early to tell with this team where they will finish but need a win next Sunday
