Celia Hammond our Federal Member for Curtin visited the golf club on Wednesday 9 June 2021 to meet members and view our new solar power project which was commissioned in March this year.

L to R: Campbell Thomson (Vice Captain), Nikki Wehr (Ladies President), Celia Hammond (Federal Member for Curtin); Bryan Gardner (President), Ian Mumford (Grants Coordinator)

This project was made possible with members contributions and the assistance of the Federal Government through their Community Energy Efficiency grant project which was successfully secured in 2020.

This project is now providing clean and efficient electricity to the club significantly reducing our draw on greenhouse gas producing coal and gas fired power from the grid and reducing club operating costs.

The club thanks Celia and Frances Endersby (Community Engagement Officer) for their support for this project which will benefit the wider community and golf club for many years to come.
