The Nedlands Challenge Cup, an intra-club match play event for male 5 and 6 day Members, and male and female Saturday Members, will be played from May through to November this year.
The focus of this event is on participation, meeting other Members you may not normally play with and the opportunity to play match play. As the event is played off handicap, we encourage both experienced golfers and Members with little or no match play experience to enter.
The event will be capped at 64 players and will be played in a knockout format over 6 rounds. The event will also include a plate competition for the first round losers to ensure every entrant gets at least two games of match play
It will be the responsibility of the players to arrange the playing of their matches by the published cut-off dates:
Round 1 – 31 May;
Round 2 – 30 June;
Round 3 – 31 July;
Round 4 – 31 August;
Round 5 – 30 September; and
Round 6 – 5 November.
Prizes (vouchers) will be payable from the quarter finals on, and for the plate winner and runner-up. A perpetual trophy will be presented to the winner.
The nomination sheet will be available in the pro-shop from Saturday 26th March to Friday 8th April and the entry fee is $20.
The draw will be completed and posted by Friday 22nd April.
This is a fun and social event, a chance to meet other Members and enjoy another, lesser played, form of the game.
