The Annual Orphans of Burma Charity Golf Day for 2022 took place on Friday 4th March on a beautiful sunny morning with 60 players taking part.

The scores were outstanding and very competitive, with signature winners Andrew Ogilvie and John Venner scoring 59.75. (including two eagles).  This was an unbelievable fantastic result which beat the previous record of 62.00 set last year by Tim Tan & Wilfred Ong.

Runners up were the Thompson twins Brett and Campbell with a score of 60.75 which in previous years would have been more than good enough – so close and unlucky guys.

In third place Mandy Sudlow Brown and Shane Maloney came in with a score of 62.75.  Well done to them as they were also runners up in the mixed division.

Finally a pair who have been playing some great golf recently, Veni Tang and Gary Hing, won the best mixed pair with a score of 61.50 which is a great result.

I would like to thank the members and sponsors that took part in this annual event both old and new and also a big thankyou to the Nedlands golf club for holding the event.

A special thank you to Jill Morgan and Rhonda Moore who helped me on the day and Rhonda for donating the raffle prize which alone raised $470-00.

The Burmese association of W.A. received $2520-00 thanks to all that contributed, supported and played on the day for which they are very grateful and appreciative.
