Thursday Morning Volunteers

Come rain, hail or shine, you will find the Thursday Morning crew hard at work at the club helping out at the course.   Over the past few months, they have been busy clearing up debris after the storms, chipping the mountainous piles of dead trees, painting bollards surrounding the course, clearing rubbish, maintaining the ball washers and filling in the potholes in the carpark.

Their latest project has been replacing the rubber tiles on the pavement along the 6th tee box with brick paving as they were becoming a trip hazard.  Prior to the commencement of works, Stuart Munro was unsure as to how he would cut the pavers to size using a chain saw, but now that the works have been carried out, the results have been pretty impressive.

The group has grown in size recently and have built up a strong camaraderie with lots of banter over a few drinks after tools are put away.

A big thank you to Peter Boyne, Stuart Munro, Peter Steward, David Blackmore, Stewart Wharton, Ian Mumford, Bruce Palmer, Ron Parkin, Bruce Callum, Lou De Vertueil and Mal Skipworth, with a special appearance from Greg Polla for a couple of weeks, for volunteering your time and making the Club a great place to belong.
