Review of Membership and Playing Rights

The Committee has undertaken a comprehensive review of the Club’s membership and playing structure to improve course utilisation and make the Club more inclusive and sustainable.

The Committee is cognisant of the changing patterns of how people participate in golf with increased flexibility in working hours, working from home arrangements and the demand for inclusiveness.

The most significant change is the removal of the Business Ladies category and to make eligibility for Ordinary A membership gender neutral.  Members can identify their equivalent new category by referring to the last row of the attached matrix and no action will be required by Members to accept the change.

Playing rights for other categories, that is, Intermediate, Nine Hole, Country, Casual and Summer membership remain unchanged.

Membership categories will be capped where course capacity imposes a practical need to do so.

By-Laws to reflect these changes are being drafted accordingly and will be posted for comments as soon as possible.

The changes are proposed to take effect from 1 October 2020.

If you have any queries in relation to the above please call our General Manager, Wilfred Ong on 9389 1244.
