The Committee and I would like to introduce Liam Spooner as the new Superintendent at the Nedlands Golf Club.
Liam is from Perth and has an extensive history in the Golf industry. Since beginning his traineeship in 2007, it has been his goal to achieve the position of Superintendent. Liam started off his career at the Secret Harbour Golf Course before receiving a scholarship to continue his apprentice training with the Cottesloe Golf Club. On completing his training, Liam returned to Secret Harbour in the role of the Assistant Superintendent to continue to develop his expertise and leadership skills before achieving the promotion to Head Superintendent in 2018. Liam’s extensive greenkeeping skills are also complimented by his golfing success, playing with the WA state Golf Squad in 2010 and 2013 and receiving a scholarship to train and compete in the United States.
